Intro by Travis Ferre | Photos by Nolan Hall | Edit Project for The Surfer’s Journal
This was just a fun piece to work on, mostly because of the the irreverence (and an almost detached exuberance for youth) in Nolan Hall’s photography. It was also cool to collaborate with Travis Ferre on the words. When I was at Surfer, he was the editor at Surfing. Both magazines are gone now but they were rival publications for decades. With this piece, we got to play on the same team for a little while.
